Important News About Meedio

Today is a big day for the team here at Meedio; we have sold most of our technology to Yahoo!

David Brott, Jeff (beergeek), Kenny (fasttech), Pedro (flea0) and I are joining Yahoo!’s Digital Home team. We’ve had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Yahoo! in the past few months and we love the way they are developing the best, most user-friendly services for the Digital Home.

As I said before, behind Meedio LLC the company, is Meedio the idea and all of us want to see it succeed. The sad truth is that we had recently hit a brick wall and did not have the resources to make it flourish. But, Yahoo! has a great team that is just as dedicated and passionate as we are in this space and, of course, they carry the content and might of an early Internet pioneer. Together, the combination can be nothing but a winner. We are thrilled at the opportunity to put the Meedio idea together with the Yahoo! experience and bring it to millions of people all around the world!

To be perfectly honest with you, before I wrote the first line of Meedio code, I envisioned a day when it could be used as the "new browser"; to bring all the content goodness that Yahoo! can provide to the 10 foot world. It is really exciting seeing it actually happen.

Now, on to some of the operational details:

1. If you are an existing user of Meedio Pro or Meedio TV, we will continue to provide EPG data until July 1st.
    
2. The forums, MAID and MDN will stay as they are for a while.
    
3. You will no longer be able to download or buy Meedio from this site and the Meedio Support Center will be closed effective immediately.
    
4. Rest assured, Yahoo! will continue to honor Meedio's Privacy and Terms of Use policies with respect to information on this site.
    
5. Meedio LLC has changed its name to PsyKoh LLC (Pissanetzky & Koosh, I know, I know).
   
   Although Yahoo! acquired most of our technology and intellectual property, Yahoo! did not acquire our products themselves. If you have any concerns or further inquiries with respect to former Meedio products, please let us know. We will attempt to respond to product inquiries, although we will no longer offer product support services and suggest you direct any support inquiries to the Meedio community/support forums.
    

I will continue to visit the community forums in my personal capacity (not as a representative of Meedio, PsyKoh, or Yahoo!) as will the rest of the former Meedio men.

I want to give a special thanks to our loyal users and our faithful developer community. You guys have made the last few years an absolute blast and have helped make Meedio an outstanding product. I hope you are as excited as I am about our big news. I am really looking forward to being able to bring you more cool products from Yahoo! This is a beginning, not an end.
